My Print Gocco PG-10 Super!

i recevied my print gocco a few weeks ago from japan and worked my first design to print. although my first try was not too excited, it definitely openned my eyes to what i could do with this thing! my next endeavor is to find supplies and horred as much screens and inks as possible since we don't know how much long they will be making supplies!

since i bought it used on ebay, it had partially used inks and only one screen left. i liked my first print but wish i had other colors. sigh... i'm thinking christmas wish list!

Green head man wears crocheted hat!

ok so this last project i've been working on has proven to be tricky so i enlisted the help of the Green Head. He's a styrofoam head we have at work to showcase the hats we make. it was helpful using him to pin the sprials i crocheted in order to lay them out properly. i am still working on getting it right but here are a few photos of my progress.

this ideas was from http://woollywormhead.blogspot.com/. i took her idea and sort of tweaked it to my style. i know she would never use black yarn. i plan to give this hat to my sister and all she ever wears is black or pink so i thought it was appropriate. i hope all my hardwork pays off!

Etsy V2 & stuff

i'm really excited for V2 of Etsy.com, which is happening this weekend... hopefully! it's gotten all worked up and i hope people will learn more about our wonderful world of handmade crafts!

since my last entry, i've designed a business card/banner/avatar/logo for ThreeHeartsDesigns.etsy.com. it was a pleasure working with jennifer on developing her brand identity and i know her company will grow further with her new look!

i've also completed a scarf and hat using the knifty knitter loom. omg it was so easy to get those projects done. my cousin bought a set on sale at joann's last weekend and the whole time we were at her place making hats and scarves to our hearts content! i didn't get to finish mine so i borrowed her loom and since then have made a few more pieces. sigh, if only crochet and knitting was as easy. part of me feels like i'm cheating, but i needed some gratification of finished projects. i'll post pictures soon.

last weekend i also attended the launch party release of Craft Magazine. It was a small, cute event with people dropping by picking up a copy and a cupcake and chatting it up. it was nice to go to something i can identify with and realize that people of all ages love crafting. i swear crafting can save the world... it will save the world one day.
